Estelle Lorang is research intern and contributing writer to The Arctic Institute’s weekly publication in app form, The Arctic This Week App. Estelle’s areas of interests include EU Arctic policy, climate change and Arctic security. Estelle is also working as a project management assistant for the International Polar Foundation, a non-governmental Belgian public utility foundation based in Brussels which aims to bridge the divide between researchers, policymakers, and the general public on issues related to the polar regions. In the first half of her internship, she provided logistical support in the organisation of a multi-stakeholder conference focused on Arctic issues: Arctic Futures Symposium. She is now assisting the staff with the communication of a polar expedition to Princess Elisabeth Base, Antarctica.
Estelle holds a Master’s Degree in European Policy from the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands, and a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and International Relations from the University of Westminster in London, UK.
