PhD position at UGent: impact of climate change in Greenland’s fjords

Ghent University is recruiting two PhD students in the framework of a FWO research project on the impact of climate change on the role of Greenland’s fjords as carbon sinks. The research will be performed in the UGent research groups Marine Biology (www.marinebiology.ugent.be) and Protistology and Aquatic Ecology (www.pae.ugent.be), in close collaboration with the researchers from the Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research (NIOZ).

Research will take place in different fjord ecosystems in West Greenland and will focus respectively on the pelagic and benthic compartments of the fjord ecosystem.
